Clutch Pilot Bearing: input shaft GMClutch noise is a pain in the arse to fix.. the input shaft bearing could be the issue or this the pilot bearing. This Pilot bearing centers the gearbox shaft .. as a press fit. into the crankshaft flange. Change this at least every time you change the clutch, its not expensive to do but take heaps of time to do on its own. Also.. another easier done while your doing this is to change renew the input shaft SEAL at the front of the transmission. Fits GM
