I have put it on a pearl and tourmaline necklace with gold fill highlights and a gold fill clasp. The inside has inserts for 2 photographs and the locket opens and closes securely. A gorgeous and unique necklace. Vargas were a jewellery manufacturing business from Providence, Rhode Island in the US. It was active from 1945 to 1998.
