ApparitionsApparitions is a substantial work for solo five string double bass lasting approximately 18 minutes. Each of the four movements gets its title from "ghostlike visions" garnered by different religions and cultures. In order to depict the delicate nature of a fleeting image, much of the composition uses substantial rubato and can be performed in a quasi recitative style.
